Author: Peter Crouch
Crouch’s self-deprecating memoir is full of dressing-room stories, robot-dance jokes and honest reflections on a career few expected him to have. It is sharper than most footballer books: Huw Richards in When Saturday Comes picked out the closing chapter on Steven Gerrard as one that “should have a future in football anthologies”, and thought the book would entertain a broad range of fans. Best for: an easy, funny read.
